 The Bear Creek School is a leader in classical education in the Pacific Northwest, and provides a rigorous college preparatory curriculum from a Christian worldview for students in Grades K - 12.  We are a non-denominational school with over 50 local churches and 25 denominations represented by our student body. 

The Bear Creek School believes that every student should receive the best education possible, one that will give tools which may be used in any future study, and which will enhance one's ability to live life with reason and judgment.  We strive for excellence in all areas of academic, social, physical and spiritual growth. We carefully design our curriculum to include study of areas that provide fodder for thought, and develop the ability of our students to think well and make judgments based upon reason. As a classical, or liberal arts school, the arts (humanities) and sciences are the foundation of our education. 

We believe students need a well rounded life in addition to a strong academic program. Our students are given many opportunities to develop areas of interest through a variety of activities such as sports, community service, science fairs, math and music competitions, and drama productions to name a few.  The Bear Creek School is proud to offer its students many opportunities to develop specific areas of interest. Students have a chance to explore their gifts in a variety of subjects both within and outside of the classroom.

Founded in 1988, The Bear Creek School is a state-approved private school. We are accredited by the National Association of Schools and Colleges and the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools. We are a member of the Washington Federation of Independent Schools, Society for Classical Learning, the Association of Classical and Christian Schools, and the Association of Christian Schools International.  The Bear Creek School is located in Redmond, Washington.

Acknowledgement

We were very impressed with the use of a single database to store our data because we came from several separate systems that did not talk to each other.  We appreciated the ability to have the system customized to our way of running the school and I can say that Veracross has been very supportive of our needs.  They are easy to work with and are very quick to respond to our requests.  Veracross has done quite a bit of customization for us and other than the normal glitches when you change/enhance software, things have gone well and any issues have been quickly taken care of.  We are still in the implementation/customization phase, but we are pleased with the system and believe it will serve our needs for many years to come.  I can also tell you that our parents have been enthusiastic to be able to view their student’s progress and have the visibility that Veracross provides.
