As a part of the our focus on your long term success, every night we run a series of data quality procedures against your database to identify, and if possible, fix any current issues with your data. This is another part of your Total Veracross Solution and a good example of The Veracross Difference.
This focus on data quality is unusual for a School Information System vendor, but we believe that helping to keep your data clean is part of our job and important to your overall success with Veracross.
Data Services
- Address standardization: all addresses updated to conform to postal-service standards
- Geo-coding of addresses: latitude and longitude are determined for each address for distance calculations and mapping integration
- De-duping of households, people, and organizations to ensure data integrity and accuracy
- Data integrity verification to maintain data consistency, integrity, and accuracy
- Data Hygiene: standardize phone numbers, correct improper casing, remove invalid characters, etc.
- Comprehensive audit logging of all data changes
- Robust user security roles
- Automatic role processing (ex. when a student withdraws or graduates, the roles of all related people are updated accordingly)
- Generate missing relationships: fill in "holes" in various family trees
- On-going import of external data (standardized test scores, financial-aid data, etc.)
- Daily email sent to school's Veracross contact person reporting any outstanding data issues
