Your application/database environment is a key part of your Total Veracross Solution and the hosting services we provide are the best offered for independent schools anywhere in the world. All our schools' database and application servers are hosted by Rackspace Managed Hosting, a leading provider of corporate quality hosting services with multiple datacenters throughout the world.
Using Rackspace's superior hosting environment ensures that your data is always available, secure, and protected. In addition to the engineers working at the Rackspace datacenters, we have developed tools that our Veracross engineers use to regularly monitor our schools' servers.
Our Hosting model gives you the best of both worlds: your data is stored in a world-class datacenter, and if you have questions or concerns related to hosting, you can take them directly to your Veracross Account Manager.

Hosting Services
- All server hardware: separate database and application servers
- All server software: OS and application software licensing
- Software upgrades: all upgrades/patches tested in lab prior to being applied

- Four separate tier-1 ISPs from multiple Telco central offices provide 4 GB of bandwidth

- Air is circulated and filtered every 90 seconds to remove dust and contaminates
- 24x7x365 monitoring of infrastructure and application
- Redundant hardware (RAID, NIC, P/S) to minimize downtime due to hardware failure
- In event of hardware failure, a one hour service level agreement (SLA) for repair
- Generators provide conditioned power indefinitely in event of utility power loss
- Less than 60 minutes of unscheduled down‐time in last five years
- Daily full backups retained for three months and stored off‐site within 48 hours
- Permanent off‐site data archival of monthly full backups that go back indefinitely
- Maintain PCI compliance in handling of credit card payments and credit card data storage
