Product Manager - Health

Veracross is a PE backed leading provider of a SaaS based School Information Systems (SIS) platform which includes a web-based Student Medical Record (SMR) named Magnus Health. With clients ranging from small, private K-12 schools to large, public universities, Magnus Health is the most innovative solution to collect, track, and manage student health information.

ROLE SUMMARY:

Veracross is seeking a seasoned, self-motivated, passionate, and highly collaborative Product Leader to head product management for our Magnus Health SMR products. You will report directly to the head of product and will be the product owner of multiple components of the company’s Health business portfolio. You will be the “product evangelist,” working closely with all teams in the company to make sure your products are successful. You will plan and manage product development activities including discovery, product definition, product launch, and post-launch enhancements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as subject matter expert for assigned product and opportunity areas.
  • Collaborate with Executives to establish product strategy and define pricing model and monetization strategy.
  • Drives consensus, sponsorship and alignment for future plans among key stakeholders.
  • Coordinates with product development team to realize product concepts and bring them to market.
  • Acts as a senior evangelist both internally and externally. Develops and maintains close relationships with key customers, partners, sales representatives, and alliance partners.
  • Identifies key differentiators, translates product features into customer benefits and works with marketing to develop positioning for our sales organization and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Promotes a culture of autonomy, transparency and teamwork, while staying very customer focused.
  • Establishes close working relationships with direct reports, colleagues, customers, and partners. Leads through influence.
  • Mentor team to keep a focus on the project goals, to grow within their discipline, and have a clear sense of how they fit within the organization
  • Adept at analyzing complex systems and identifying novel, innovative approaches to solving difficult problems.
  • Translate product features into customer benefits and work with marketing to develop messaging and positioning for our sales organization and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate product focus throughout entire organization including senior leadership, product development teams, sales, professional services, marketing, etc.
  • Build positive relationships and trust through on-time delivery, high quality, continuous innovation, and exceeding expectations.
  • Track results, provide insights, and make recommendations to improve customer experience, efficiencies, and ROI.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5-7+ years in a product management role is required
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
  • Business acumen and proficiency with quantitative business analysis techniques
  • Solid understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies
  • Can clearly demonstrate high empathy through a proven track record of being an attentive listener, thoroughly grasping customer’s needs, and quickly building rapport
  • A strong focus on execution and ability to take command. This individual must be strategic and creative, but strong execution capabilities are critical for success with a data driven approach to decision making and measurement. Success will be judged on what is accomplished and delivered, not what is proposed
  • Strategic Analytical skills, excellent communication, presentation creation and writing skills will be necessary. Veracross is a roll up your sleeves company that moves at a rapid pace and where individuals are extremely focused on the company’s strategic objectives. Being effective in a role that requires the input, support, and ultimately the agreement of all parts of the company requires levels of persuasion, influencing and presentation skills on the part of its leader
  • Experience with project management and software development software like JIRA, Basecamp, Slack, etc.
  • Ability to juggle many moving pieces and strong prioritization ability
  • Experience in a health SaaS company is strongly preferred
  • Flexible team-player who can partner with all functions of the business, getting team members buy in and feedback with ease
  • Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to work independently in a fast paced, high growth environment
