Sales Development Representative

ROLE SUMMARY:

Veracross is seeking a business development representative for our marketing department.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Become an expert at using lead generation tools to routinely extract contacts and create accurate and targeted lists of prospects for outreach.
  • Conduct business development best practices with a multi-touch cadence (phone, voicemail, email, snail mail) to connect with new prospects.
  • Manage sales leads through the documented Business Development Process.
  • Responsible for following-up on marketing generated leads.
  • Identify additional buyers within the K-12 independent school market that will potentially purchase Veracross.
  • Apply sales tools within the sales process to have effective conversations relative to the buyer personas.
  • Utilize smart, targeted questions to speak knowledgeably with buyers and C- level executives and decisions makers within independent schools.
  • Apply qualification questions to identify potential opportunities.
  • Work closely building relationships with the sales team and other key members of Veracross.
  • Skillfully build interest and create opportunities with new prospects to handoff to sales to assist in building sales pipeline.
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings for sales, capture and document information in CRM.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 1+ year experience in outbound prospecting is preferred
  • Willingness to learn and be coached
  • Work well within a team environment, while building relationships with sales and marketing and other key members of the Veracross team.
  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication and documentation skills.
  • Excellent time management capabilities
